LinkedIn is getting involved in the gaming industry as a way to increase user engagement and attract new members.

LinkedIn has introduced three new games worldwide that are designed to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills – Queens, Crossclimb, and Pinpoint. The games will be available through direct links and also on LinkedIn News, which is the department in charge of creating them. You can play these games on both your desktop and mobile devices, similar to Wordle, where you can play each game once per day. At first, players can ask their immediate contacts to participate and decide whether or not to update them on their progress in the game. After each daily session on LinkedIn, you can view your performance metrics such as your highest score and daily streak. Google’s ‘speaking practice’ function utilizes artificial intelligence to improve your English language skills. The social aspects and quantity of games offered may be altered as LinkedIn continues to investigate their possibilities. Currently, the platform plans to create these games on its own, without involvement from its parent company, Microsoft, and its gaming division. The games on LinkedIn are inspired by classic word and logic puzzles often seen in newspapers such as The New York Times.
